Age Proud Leeds

Age Proud Leeds is a campaign to raise awareness of ageism and change negative attitudes about ageing and older people.
Join us in our campaign to challenge age discrimination.

Age Proud Leeds runs from October 2019 to March 2021 and focuses on five key messages.

Ageism affects people of all ages (from February 2020)
Ageism is discrimination based on age. Any age. It can, and does, affect us all, at numerous points in our lives. We call upon all Leeds citizens - younger, middle-aged and older - to unite against ageism, challenge age-based stereotypes and change negative attitudes to ageing.
Get involved in the campaign.

Age Proud Leeds is led by Leeds Older People’s Forum (as part of the Time to Shine programme) with the Leeds Age Friendly Partnership, Leeds City Council, the NHS in Leeds, and voluntary sector organisations.
