Community Social Worker – Bramley Elderly Action


COMMUNITY SOCIAL WORKER: BRAMLEY ELDERLY ACTION
Hours: 22 hours per week
Grade: SO1, £25,694 – 27,394 (pro rata)
Leave: 28 days plus statutory bank holidays (pro rata)
Employing Body: Bramley Elderly Action (BEA)
Line Manager: Operations Manager / General Manager

BEA is a registered charity which for 22 years has been instrumental in improving the lives of older people in Bramley and other parts of West Leeds. More recently it assumed responsibility for delivering a similar range of services to older people in the Headingley area. BEA has secured two year funding to run a pilot project to reduce social isolation and loneliness for local older people.

BEA is looking to recruit a Community Social Worker to deliver / monitor / evaluate / develop the project. The post holder will have two main roles. Firstly to help produce / deliver / close, person centred actions plans. Secondly, to co-ordinate /deliver / analyse / report, the learning from the project.

The project will operate in Bramley, Swinnow and parts of Stanningley. The post holder will need transport in order to easily get around this large area.

Interviews will be held on either 10th or 11th November. If you have not heard by 4th November please assume you have been unsuccessful. Times and arrangements for the interview format will be advised as soon as possible after closing date, but candidates should expect, to perform a presentation, to the selection panel, as part of the interview process. The presentation will be on a topic which will be advised to them in advance.
