Samosas and scones – Bollywood comes to Oulton and Woodlesford

Delicious samosas and a dance routine from a Bollywood Dance Group accompanied traditional afternoon tea of scones and sandwiches at at All Saints Parish Hall in Woodlesford on 10th November.

The dance group is part of D Dance Theatre’s activities with over 50s joining in dance, fun and exercise. It’s funded by the Time to Shine project through Leeds Community Foundation. D Dance Theatre also runs Dance Health and wellbeing workshops to support older people in Oulton and Woodlesford who are lonely, have a long-term illness or a disability.

Katharine Greathead, sponsor for the Time to Shine project at Leeds Community Foundation was at the event with colleagues Cath and Roz and said “Well done to everyone for delivering such a splendid event and clearly showcasing how women, Bollywood and fun can bring people of all ages together in such a positive way”.

The Bollywood sessions are every Wednesday 10.30 – 12.00 at All Saints Parish Church, Woodlesford. It’s fun and gentle, healthy exercise.
