Summer Time Out

Are you breathing a big sigh of relief as you head for the summer?

It feels like we are over the worst of the first part of this pandemic and many people are hoping for a bit of a break before starting some sort of ‘new normal’ or longer term response in terms of service for your members.

We hope you manage to have a lovely staycation of some sort, a trip to the beach maybe. Here at Leeds Older People’s Forum, as part of Forum Central, we thought it would also help to offer you and your staff some TLC through a series of easy to access, and easy to digest learning sessions looking at supporting your, and your staff’s mental health; designed to help you as you support others.

Summer Time Out comprises a range of events, run throughout the month of August, all free, and you can attend from the comfort of your own home/office/garden. They bring together expert-led sessions and opportunities for peer learning from organisations across the city. Sessions range from ‘Why be a Mindful Employer’ to dealing with grief during Covid.

There’s lots for you to choose from and we’re looking forward to welcoming you to Summer Time Out.

Designed with and for the Forum Central membership, third sector organisations working in health and care, Summer Time Out is for you. It has been developed after listening to what you want and to assist you in meeting current and developing challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Most of all it, is to help you be the best you can be in supporting your individual and organisational wellbeing.

Have a look at the programme, share it with colleagues, encourage your staff and trustees to attend as well. All we ask you to do is book for events when you want to come as there are a lot of you out there and numbers for the interactive sessions at least will need to be limited.

Come along, take part and be stimulated, refreshed and develop skills. We look forward to seeing you.
