Young at Arts: Memories of Dancing in Leeds

Memories of Dancing in Leeds

The LEAF Partnership • Leeds Grand Theatre & City Varieties • Northern Ballet • Opera North • Phoenix Dance Theatre • West Yorkshire Playhouse • Yorkshire Dance • invites you to

Memories of Dancing in Leeds for ages 55+ with Northern Ballet from June to July

Where have you danced? Who have you danced with? What are your most memorable moments of dancing?

It doesn’t matter if you have limited mobility, or if you haven’t danced for a number of years – Young at Arts would still love to hear from you.

During three visits to your home, Northern Ballet’s Leanne Kirkham and one of her colleagues will chat to you about any kind of dance in your life, whether it was a serious hobby or simply fun at the disco or dance halls.

They’ll help you create a ‘keepsake’ which might be a scrapbook, a collage, a film or a collection of music, based on your own memories and stories.

Leanne and her colleague have lots of experience of working with older adults in a variety of settings and they are subject to regular criminal records checks. They’re very friendly, they’re good listeners and they’ll respect your privacy and your personal space.

If you’d like to take part or find out more about Memories of Dancing in Leeds, please call Leanne Kirkham at Northern Ballet on 0113 220 8000 or e-mail leanne.kirkham@northernballet.com
