Love The Words - special broadcast. In ‘Being Here’ a group of older women, who meet at St.Augustine’s Church in Harehills, talk about how they came to Leeds from Italy and the Caribbean in the 1950′s. They talk frankly about roots, family, racism, and identity – with a great deal of warmth and good humour. Plus a live interview with some of the women themselves on their first visit to Chapel FM.

One of the outputs from a project about migration on Young At Arts - a six-week oral history project around themes of migration with five women. The project was led by the writer Peter Spafford and resulted in a live broadcast on East Leeds FM.
