ABA delivered a series of courses for carers, designed around their daily lives. The courses included information about carers’ rights and what support is available within their communities. Reducing isolation and building confidence were both key issues for the carers, especially when it’s difficult to get out of the home, socialise and meet people. Carers were able to meet new people, in some cases make new friends, and share their experiences with each other. Participants were also able to learn relaxation techniques, which was very valuable for them.
